Ranch Elderberry
Sambucus canadensis 'Ranch'
The smallest elder widely available at this time is the Ranch variety. It was selected from the wild in the Mid West, where it is currently grown commercially. It is drought tolerant and a productive, compact plant, so it's particularly good to use in small or urban gardens. Use another S. canadensis cultivar as a pollinizer.
