Fragaria moschata

The musk, or hautbois strawberry, is a species of strawberry native to Europe. The plants are hardy and can survive in both cold winters and hot summers. Musk strawberries are cultivated commercially on a small scale, particularly in Italy. This variety, originally sourced from the national Germplasm Repository in Corvallis, OR, blooms at the same time as Capron females.

One male plant will provide pollination for up to five female plants, which will increase fruit harvest substantially. Sold in a 4" pot.

Very prolific bloomer! Happy that I planted it with my profumata and capron! Pollinated my capron so far and I’ve tried the berries! It’s almost like a mini strawberry with a deeper flavor, like alpine but not exactly… great plants and shipping was safe and well handled/packaged. Thank you!

I have the Strawberries in the ground and they seem to be doing well. My concern was on the amount of time it took for you to send. I think it might have been up to 5 weeks.

I know that Strawberries don’t always grow the first year and when there weren’t any around here I found you guys. It was getting colder and I was getting concerned. We actually had a frost a few days before they came but then warmed up so like a said so good so far.
