Snowsweet apples don't just taste great, they look great! The fruit has a snow-white flesh and a crispy crunch that’s sweet, a little tart, and perfect for fresh eating. Snowsweet is top-rated pick for salads as it remains crisp and resists browning (oxidizing) long after cutting.

The tree has a slightly drooping, open shape with moderate vigor. Snowsweet is also disease-resistant to scab and fire blight. Fruit stores up to 2 months on average. Ideal for northern climates with cool summers. U of M variety, introduced in 2006.

  • I live in Newcastle, CA (zone 9b?). This apple is zone 7, but will it fruit in my zone? Or does it need more chill hours?

    Chill hours are still being determined for this apple (nationwide). Another factor to consider is how hot it gets as intense heat can affect the ripening process and impact the quality of the fruit.
