Hippophae rhamnoides 'Star of Altai'

Star of Altai, also known as Chuyskaya, is one of the sweetest of the seaberries we carry. It remains a seaberry though, so expect it to still have a delicious punch of tropical tartness! Star of Altai is heavy bearing and makes a sunshine yellow juice when pressed. It's also thornless, which makes harvesting much easier! Additionally this variety is a natural dwarf reaching only 5-7' tall at maturity.

  • What type of pollinator does Star of Altai need

    A male seaberry. We carry them under the product heading "male seaberry" as none are named.

  • how long will it take for the plant to start producing. I saw online they usually have to be 4-5 years old, but how old are the stocks being sold? thanks :)

    Current stock is 3 years old, but Seaberry can take time to establish and won't flower until it does.
