Vitis x 'Suffolk Red'

The Suffolk Red Seedless grape is a popular table grape variety prized for its sweet, flavorful berries with a distinctive spicy undertone and tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture. Underwhelming at First with A Big Suprise Later

I have to admit, when I first saw these bare-root 2-year-old grapes, I was pretty disappointed. They were much shorter than I was expecting and less branched than those of other sellers. Boy, was I wrong! Once they were established, these suckers took off and started growing like crazy, easily gaining the height I was expecting. So yeah, it might start out a little underwhelming, but give it some time, and it should meet and exceed expectations.

The red seedless grape plant is on its way but the concord grape plant which was planted over a month ago never took off I believe it arrived dead,

Tastes like cotton candy!

I have 17 varieties of table grapes planted and Suffolk Red is very good, it has been in the ground for two years without any problems yet and I had the first fruit from this vine which tasted like COTTON CANDY so I am excitedly looking forward to the second crop in this vine’s 3rd year.

Waiting for my grapes to grow

I know Raintree strives to ship bare root plants when it's time to plant, but my new grapes just arrived and after two weeks have yet to show signs of life. My established grapes already have leafed out and have formed small grape clusters. Seems like my new grapes will struggle this first year as they arrived way too late.
