Totem Strawberry
Fragaria x ananassa 'Totem'
Gorgeous, dark red Totem strawberries are one of the beauties of the early summer garden! This June-bearing strawberry has remained popular among gardeners and home growers for decades. It is an unusually winter hardy, compact and productive plant that produces big yields of large, sweet, and juicy garnet-red berries - with that deep red color throughout - that are perfect for eating fresh or using to make exceptionally pretty jams, jellies, and baked goods.
Totem also has a high resistance to diseases such as verticillium wilt and powdery mildew, which makes it a low-maintenance option for home gardeners. Totems typically begin producing fruit about 60 to 90 days after planting.
