Wepster is a very productive and flavorful nut, developed for the chocolate and nut industry, that ripens early in the season. It is newly developed by OSU and named for the nut tree pioneering Wepster family.
It blooms early-midseason and McDonald, Wepster and Polly-O are excellent pollinizers. The vigorous, open-shaped, completely blight-resistant tree, is easily maintained at 10' tall, requires little training and is a reliable producer.
