For a dramatic effect, this award-winning, deep burgundy leaved weigela with vibrant, rose colored, trumpet-shaped flowers can't be beat. The leaf color is intensified in full sun, though it will grow in partial shade. After the mid-spring bloom, prune lightly to encourage reblooming. Even without flowers, the foliage is distinctive enough to work well in bouquets with shasta daisies, lilies, etc. The shrub will grow to about 5' tall and wide. Hummingbirds love it!
