"wow" berries

While they can be a little too intense for me at times, they re still delicious and get wide-eyed "wow" reactions from everyone. Mine ripen to around the size of a nickel and are very sweet with a tropical kick to them.

Adorbs!

This cute little alpine strawberry is taking over the rocky, kinda gnarly patch of my garden by the rhubarb plant exactly as I envisioned it would. I ordered it along with some rugen and mingonette alpine strawberries last year. Those have also spread out a bit, so I guess we ll figure out who s who later in the year. Honestly though, it makes such a pretty groundcover that I won t mind if they completely take over that garden.

Kids love them

Getting more! They grow great in shady areas of my yard (the ones in full sun died). My 6 year old and his friends love hunting for the “white strawberries that taste like pineapple”.

Strawberries were received in poor shape

I received three pots of alpine strawberries that were very sad when I pulled them out of the box that they were loosely packed in. They looked sad, and some of the stems were smashed and broken. I contacted customer service, who assured me that with the right care, they would come out of it. Funny though I’d already ordered some from Burpee as well and those look amazing. All I wanted was my money back or replacement, and I was not given the option. I asked for an address to return my plants but was told to wait until the end of May to see if they thrived.
