Pyrus communis 'Yellow Huffcapp'
Yellow Huffcap is a traditional old English "perry" pear used to make an excellent pear cider. It ripens mid season and is high in acids and low in tannins.
The fruit is small and yellow/green, ripening mid-to-late September in Western Oregon. Trees are vigorous with a spreading habit and very productive, but biennial and slow to come into bearing. Fruit is high in Vitamin C.
