This fig is one of the most reliable in our region. The skin is mahogany in color and the flesh is a light amber and very sweet. The hardy tree will bear heavily and can have two crops of large delicious fruit a year. It can produce some massive figs!

This variety is grown from tissue culture and has been heat-treated to significantly reduce the presence of Fig Mosaic Virus.

  • I live in Zone 10A. Will I be able to grow Brown Turkey Figs in this area? I am planning or purchasing 2 - do they cross pollinate? Will have to definitely prep the ground as it is clay, rock and poor soil.

    Likely yes and Brown Turkey does not need cross pollinization.

  • How old are your Brown Turkey & Violet de Bordeaux figs? When will they fruit in zone 7A?

    2 years old, and yes they should do fine.

  • How long will it take for your Brown Turkey Fig to bear fruit in zone 7 ? Do you have a more mature size?

    Figs bear pretty quickly, even the small ones. We do not have oversized specimens.

  • Do You have adult fruit bearing trees?

    Yes, they should bear within a couple years of being planted.
