Honeycrisp Apple

I bought this tree in March it arrived in June. I soaked it in water and followed all instructions then planted it in ground. After 6 weeks it began to produce runners at the rootstock level. At 8 weeks the main tree still hasn't leafed out. I tested the bark to see if it was still alive and it is brown to its core. It appears as if the main tree is dead while the rootstock is alive. Something must have gone wrong during grafting. However since it is outside the 30-day window for returns I cannot return the tree and have to purchase an entire new one. It seems unfair that your product did not work and I am unable to receive my money back for the faulty tree.

My Honeycrisp apple tree arrived and the roots appeared moist and not damaged in the packaging. I planted it the next day and thoroughly watered in and kept the soil moist for the first week. Living in Washington it rained plenty the next few weeks to keep it watered.
The tree came with no buds, or visible leaf growth on it.
After 4 weeks there still is no growth at all coming from any parts of the tree? I don't know if the tree is dead or just going to blossom out later? Pictures attached of day planted, and 4 weeks later.

My husband and I were floored about the outstanding quality of our mini dwarf! We planted it per instructions two weeks ago and it was happy as could be. See photos. We usually get our trees at Lowe's, but will not go back. The wait to arrive was longer than I'd have liked, but it was worth the wait! I've never bought a tree so healthy before.

Arrived well packaged, and put in the ground within two days of coming. Watered well in fact we received 3 to 5 inches of rain within the next week. It still looks the same no leaves on it. It looks dormant. It arrived May 4 and today is the 19th. Should we still be seeing a stick

I got a carefully packaged bare root tree that is healthy and ready to plant. I have always been impressed by the quality of the trees I bought from Raintree! This dwarf Honey Crisp is no exception! I can't wait for this perfect little guy to start producing fruit.

The tree arrived in good condition, as part of a set of three, with a few nice branches and a good root systems on each one. The packaging kept the roots damp for the trip and so far I've seen no issues after getting each into dirt.

Our dwarf honeycrisp arrived a few months ago. Very well packed and planted it according to instruction video (thank you for that). Doing great so far! Had to fence it as bunnies like to eat the bark.

Ordered 4-5ft dwarf honey crisp. Planted it and it’s been in the ground for two weeks. So far no sign that it’s alive….

Arrived in great condition and packaged with great care. You can tell you take the extra time to be sure they’re packaged in the best possible way for them to survive being sent across the country. Totally recommend you guys. One thing I would suggest is something in the box or on your website about how far to space the other apple trees so as they’ll pollinate the ones that we purchased. Thanks for a great experience!

Love my mini dwarf Honeycrisp apple tree! I live on a small lot where space is at a premium, this tree lets me grow a family favor.

The bare root honeycrisp apple tree arrived in great shape. It used to be my favorite and is still one of the best. I have a bunch of other top notch apple trees from raintree and I absolutely love having this one in the orchard. It’s very popular in the grocery store but who knows. It could be replaced by who knows what. I just know that I have a great one here.

So far, fantastic. I planted my trees the same day I received them and to this date they are thriving. Perfect weather to get them going. I bought two of them. Now. spring of 2026, they are leafing very nicely.

The apple tree has no sign of life yet. I’m still hopeful that it is just dormant and will leaf out soon

The day my trees were delivered was our last night of cold weather. They were packaged very well. The next day I planted them in our garden area and within two days, we saw buds on the limbs and leaves popping out! Within a week, we saw multiple blooms. I removed the blooms to give them plant some time to develop its roots. I believe these trees will be beautiful as they fill in and grow a little taller. I can’t wait to get fruit! The tree looked great coming out of the box, is now all a-bud and doing very well!

I ordered 4 plants from Raintree Nursery, As they were shipped to Eastern zones(VA) package took longer more than 8 days. Was worried about the bare roots plants but they were really packaged well. This apple tree was in excellent condition, had multiple branches at 45 degree angle already. Really happy with the tree.

Starting a backyard orchard this year and I ordered some dwarf honeycrisp and shay apple trees. UPS didn't quite get them here on time (but that's not Raintree's fault). Despite that minor snag, they were packaged well and had been pruned to a nice shape with a good foundational structure.

All of the branches were pliable so the trees seem to be in good health. Been in ground for a few days so it'll probably take a bit of time for them to adjust and start leafing out.

Disease pressure is pretty high where I live (zone 8A NC), so we'll see if they survive long term. But if they don't it'll be my fault, not Raintree's :-)

For anyone looking for fruit trees, I'd recommend Raintree.

Beautiful looking tree. Well branched and had a nice root system. The Enterprise I received in the same box was quite spindly . A straight twig with one small branch. Was hoping for a better tree. Quite pleased with the Honeycrisp!

My beautiful little bare root tree arrived in perfect condition. Less than a week after putting it in the ground it is already sprouting leaves. I love Raintree Nursery and recommend them to all my gardening friends.

The two apple trees arrived in good condition. Once planted, they "woke up" and started sprouting leaves within two weeks. So far, so good! :)
