Aurora Blueberry
Vaccinium corymbosum 'Aurora'
Selected for its late, late ripening, Aurora extends the blueberry harvest into early autumn. The medium-to-large, dark blue berries ripen over three to four pickings, producing an extremely high yield of flavorful fruit. Wait to harvest until fully ripe. Aurora grows to 6' tall and develops deep red fall color.
Tall yet compact and stocky grower; can benefit from thinning of canes to encourage airflow. Best suited for long-summer and mild fall locations. Requires 800+ chill hours to reliably bloom and set fruit.
