Black Gold Cherry

What a wonderful, healthy bare root tree. It arrived at the perfect time and I planted it right before the week of rain. Now a week later it has buds on it and I am tickled pink! Can’t wait to see this thrive and now I am looking to buy more from you!

From the time it arrived in May up until September it just stayed a pricey stick. It never developed any leaves. I even dug my hole bigger & filled it with in ground Miracle grow soil so that it would have a boost to help it. It just never took off. It's like it died during dormancy. By the time I finally reached out to them, I was told it was too late for a refund. So now I have a store credit to buy another but it is never in stock in any size. And the worst part is Shopify keeps taking over logging me in & it never shows my store credit. So pretty much I am out $63. Lesson Learned!!

I received and planted this tree in spring 2023. It has a good structure with a few primary branches when I received it that I tied down to create an open center. It leafed out well the first year and this year is covered with cherries! Excited for the harvest this year and even more fruit in the years to come.

I ordered the Black Gold mini dwarf on Gisela 3 rootstock and put it in the ground a few weeks ago. Amended the soil with biotone starter with mycorrhizae fungi and watered in with a rooting solution. Tree arrived in excellent shape, green leaf buds along a maiden sapling (no branches on arrival). Healthy, moist roots. Planting area is slightly above grade. Planted just before a lengthy period of fairly regular rainfall. Tree has leafed out beautifully and appears to be starting to branch a bit. Very pleased with its start!

I look so forward to eating these black binged cherries when they harvest. They look scrupulous! One of my most favorite healthy fruits. The tree arrived on time and in perfect condition. I love this company!!

I ordered 5 black gold and 5 white gold cherry trees. The white gold ordered are healthy and fresh and going great. The black gold ordered were dried our nearly dead with one stick grafted, dried out bark and and pieces of bark missing from the dried stick. I'm very disappointed considering the money I spent on them. Imagine unwrapping the bundle and pulling out 5 half dead and damaged sticks.

Cherry tree arrived as a stick with all branches chopped off. I could understand that, but the tree never took off. I gave it several months after being told to give it time to come out of "dormancy." After 3 months, I tried to get a refund only to find out I had only until August 1st to submit my claim. Now I have a dead 3 foot stick sticking out of the ground & a waste of almost $80 with shipping. I know the ground is not the problem because I planted sunflower seeds in the outer circle of the area around the tree & they are over 7 feet tall with beautiful blooms. 2 thumbs down!

The tree arrived as a single shoot, roots were wet and wrapped. It had leaf buds and one blossom on it when it arrived. Unfortunately the Ohio ants ate the blossom, however, the tree is branching out beautifully and I'm looking forward to next year! I will definitely be ordering again once I get my garden layout complete.

It was a foot shorter than the advertised 4-5 feet, and had no branches, just a main stem topped with a fork.

Arrived on time and well-packaged. Thorough and easy to follow planting directions. Loved that it was packed with recyclable materials!!

I purchased this tree because of the zone indicated. It was categorized for zone 9, which is where I grew fruit trees before. The tree is green but has not bloomed in three years and not shown any fruits. I have all my trees on a drip system, so water supply was not the issue. Two other cherry trees have died, two others do not bloom. The experts are Raintree, but I only received excuses after excuses.

I bought the standard black gold cherry tree nearly last minute in April. The trunk diameter was massive and so was the root system. I put it in a 100 gallon pot to start out and the root system likely took up half the pot so it was likely around a 50 gallon root system. You can t get a 50 gallon root system anywhere potted. Only a few weeks later and the tree is so set in place you can t even move the trunk so it is a strong grower too. The tree was showing green when I bought it.

Received my trees three weeks ago and put them in my garden right away. Near the base of the tree I was surprise to see flowers! Don’t expect any fruit this year but it was still nice to see!

I have to say I am very happy with the two cherry trees I received. One is a Lapins, and one is this Black Gold. Both trees arrived in great condition, with with very sturdy trunks, and were well pruned. They went in the ground last spring, and this spring they are both flowering and have leafed out really nicely. I could not be happier with both trees.

Tree shipped without any damage. I received the item as described with moist newspaper to keep the roots from drying out.

This tree was really healthy. It has a good rootstock and when I last checked little green buds were starting. Great product.
