To grow golden raspberries, choose a sunny location, amend the soil with compost, and space plants about 2–3 feet apart. Mulch around the base to conserve moisture and reduce weed competition, and water regularly, especially during dry periods. Install a trellis or support system to help keep the canes upright. Prune to remove spent floricanes after harvest and thin primocanes to encourage healthy growth. Tip prune when the canes get to be head high for maximum berry production.
