Prunus cerasus 'Morello'

Morello cherries have a deep crimson flesh and rich, wine-red juice. English Morello is an old variety, grown for centuries. It has tart, aromatic flesh. The juice is abundant and excellent for cooking and pie making.

The large heart-shaped, dark red fruit is freestone and ripens in August, at the end of the cherry season. The tree habit is small; easily maintained at 8 feet or less. Also low chill - between 400 and 500 hours will guarantee good bloom and fruit set.

Very nice shaped, healthy tree. To be honest, it is nicer looking than ones I've seen at our local nurseries which were much more expensive.

I just planted the cherry tree in zone 7B, and it is doing well so far (05/21/2024). I would like to see the end result by 08/01/2024.

Outstanding ! This is my little Morello Tree, about 2 months after planting. Looks like we’ll have a few sour cherries this year!!

Cherry tree

Arrived in good condition and appears to be growing as putting on leaves and has a few blooms

Exceeds expectations!

Online plants are usually half the size you can get in a nursery so I was pleasantly surprised by the size and health of the tree I recently received. It is robust and strong. I’m so excited to see it budding!
