Ribes rubrum 'Cascade'

Prohibited to DE, ME, NC, NH & WV, and by permit only to MA and NJ

A consistent, easy-to-grow, proven winner in the Northwest. Because of its bumper crops of large and beautiful red fruit, it may need to be staked. Like our other currants it is very winter hardy.

Red currants are among the most beautiful of edible ornamentals. With their full complement of gorgeous red currant clusters, these bushes are stunningly beautiful ornamentals. The attractive fruit and foliage and resistance to mildew and leaf spot make our red currant selections favorites for the edible landscape. Bright, shiny, red clusters of fruit are striking in the garden and they enhance any dish to which they are added. High quality fruit is excellent for jams, jellies and sauces, and it has considerable health benefits, including high quantities of vitamin C and potassium. Red currants are self-fertile. USDA Zones 3-8.

Arrived in great condition

Ordered two red currant plants...arrived alive, put in a bucket of water and many buds sprouted. Got them planted a few days later and they are looking great. Will permanently plant them in our new property soon

So far so good.

Got my currant bushes in good shape. Got them planted in the containers that they will stay in. So far everything looks good and hopefully I will have some really good bushes by next year. Thanks. Also, I have 2 cherry trees ordered and am looking forward to getting them too.

Healthy plant

It's got green leaves two days after it arrived and I planted it. Looks healthy and vigor.

I was looking forward to receive and plant the Cascade Red Currant. Since it has been in the ground a week, new shoots are coming about. So I hope to see leaves this year, product next year.

Dead Plant

Plant did not come to life after it was planted.
