Amethyst Falls Wisteria
Wisteria frutescens 'Amethyst Falls'
This strong and deciduous vine features cascading bundles of pleasantly scented pale purple flowers during the spring season, later followed by sporadic reblooming. Its attractive blooms draw in butterflies and other pollinators. As a non-invasive native to America, it can withstand drought once it has taken root. It can also be shaped into a tree if desired, and is ideal for use in containers, on trellises, as a privacy screen, as a specimen plant, or in a woodland garden.
This is a non-invasive species, unlike Wisteria sinensis and Wisteria floribunda. It is commonly known as an American wisteria.
