Rubus idaeus 'Chilcoten'

Chilcoten raspberry is a summer-bearing variety that delivers a bountiful harvest of medium-sized, light red, reliably sweet raspberries on second-year floricanes. Developed at the Agriculture Canada Research Stations and released in the late 1970s, it's considered an almost thornless variety! Many more flowering side shoots than most varieties gives you more berries to enjoy every summer, and the canes are a manageable length for ease of care.

A great choice for growing in many climates, including those with cold winters. Offer afternoon shade in hotter climates, and avoid planting canes next to buildings where they could be stressed by reflected heat.
