Heritage Raspberry
Rubus idaeus 'Heritage'
This flavorful everbearing variety is very productive, with medium-to-large, firm, light red fruit. It produces from midsummer into fall on vigorous, hardy canes. A popular variety world wide, it is good for fresh eating, freezing, and processing. Will give one flush of fruit in early summer on last year's canes, and then another in late summer/early fall on this year's primocanes.
It is known to have some disease resistance. Offer afternoon shade in hotter climates, and avoid planting canes next to buildings where they could be stressed by reflected heat.
