President Grevy Lilac
(Syringa prestoniae) Large spikes of fragrant, lilac blue, double flowers make a dynamic statement on beautiful 'President Grevy' in spring. A vigorous shrub, about 12-15' tall, this lilac requires little care when planted in a sunny location with well-drained soil. It flowers best in areas with cold winters and warm summers, especially with regular watering. Once established, though, it is quite drought tolerant. Remove twiggy growth and spent flower heads after bloom. Plant this president bush in your rose garden.
