Ribes rubrum

Red Lake Currant is an elegant fruiting hedge that produces long clusters of bright red fruit that is very high in vitamin C.

A favorite fruit for many people around the world, most of us Americans have not had the opportunity to taste these delicious berries. Beautiful additions to your yard or landscape, these upright growing shrubs are attractive in bloom and a striking sight when fruiting, with large clusters of pink, red, white or black berries cascading down the heavily laden branches. Currants are rich in antioxidants and have a much higher vitamin C content than oranges. Plant one of each color!

Out of 6 bareroot plants 4 died.. followed every direction

Not pleased with my order at all. I ordered 2 raspberry, 2 red current and 2 black. Planted all within 6 hrs of receiving. Plants were received directly into my hands from delivery person. Soaked roots for 30 min, planted on a slant as directed so roots were fairly shallow, watered in. Watered every 2 days. 2 Raspberries never had a leaf or any sign of life. 1 of each of the currents was the same. Will never buy your bare root plants again.
